Dose Track — Privacy Policy

A medication, supplement & vitamin tracker by Codes & Chips

Last updated: June 22, 2026

In short: Dose Track keeps everything on your device. We do not have servers, accounts, or analytics. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. Your data never leaves your phone unless you choose to export and share it yourself.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers the Dose Track mobile application (the “App”, package com.codesandchips.dosetrack), published by Codes & Chips (“we”, “us”).

2. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. The App has no account system, no login, and no backend server. Everything you enter — such as a display name, the medications, supplements and vitamins you add, their schedules, your dose history, notes, and any photos you attach — is stored only in local storage on your device. We never receive or have access to this data.

3. How your data is stored

4. Permissions and why they are used

5. Label scanning (OCR)

The optional “Scan a label” feature uses Google's ML Kit text recognition to read text from a photo. This recognition runs entirely on your device — the image and recognized text are not sent to Google or any other server. The result is used only to pre-fill the form for you to review.

6. Data sharing and third parties

We do not share your data with anyone, because we never receive it. The App contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no third-party data collection. If you use the App's Export backup feature, a backup file is created and you decide where it goes — any sharing of that file is entirely under your control.

7. Children's privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected or transmitted, no personal information about children is gathered.

8. Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep it. You are in full control: edit or delete individual items in the App, use Erase all data to remove everything, or uninstall the App.

9. Medical disclaimer

Dose Track is a personal logging tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and it cannot replace advice from your doctor or pharmacist. Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee — your device may delay or skip them. Always follow the guidance of your healthcare professional and do not rely on the App alone to take your medications.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
