Privacy Policy — Suikoden Codex

This Privacy Policy explains how the Suikoden Codex mobile application (“the app”, “we”, “us”), developed by Kirk (Codes & Chips), handles your information. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Suikoden Codex is a free, offline fan encyclopedia. It is designed to respect your privacy: we do not collect, store, or share any personal information.

1. Information we collect

None. The app does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal or sensitive user data. Specifically, the app does not:

• require an account, login, email, or any sign-up;
• collect your name, contacts, location, or device identifiers;
• include advertising, ad networks, or marketing trackers;
• include analytics or crash-reporting SDKs;
• send any of your information to us or to any third party.

2. Information stored on your device

All app data stays only on your device and is never uploaded. This includes:

• your recruitment progress and the entries you mark as favorites;
• recently viewed entries and app preferences (e.g. theme, spoiler-safe mode);
• any content you create within the app.

This data is stored using the device’s standard local app-storage. You can remove it at any time by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.

3. Permissions

The app may request the standard Internet / network-state permission that is included by default with the development framework. The app functions fully offline and does not use the network to collect or transmit your data.

4. Sharing and backups

Any “share” or “backup/export” feature is initiated only by you. When you choose to share or export, you select the destination using your device’s system share sheet. We do not receive a copy of anything you share or back up.

5. Third-party content

The app displays Suikoden game information and imagery for reference. Suikoden and related content are © Konami Digital Entertainment; encyclopedia text is sourced from the Gensopedia community wiki. These are shown within the app and do not involve sharing your data.

6. Children’s privacy

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It contains no ads and no data collection, and is suitable for general audiences.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
