In short

Walk Track is private by design. It has no internet access, so your information physically cannot leave your device. There is no account, no cloud, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything the app knows about you stays in the app's own storage on your phone.

Information the app uses

All of the following is stored only on your device and is never transmitted:

Step count — read from your phone's on-device step-counter sensor to award in-game "Bricks". This requires the Physical activity permission (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION).
Your town and game progress — buildings, levels, currency, streaks and daily step history, kept in a local database inside the app.
Optional height and weight — if you choose to enter them, they are used only on your device to estimate walking distance and calories. They are never sent anywhere.
Preferences — settings such as your daily goal, town name and toggles.

The app does not collect or use your location/GPS, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or any device identifiers.

Permissions and why they are needed

Physical activity (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION) — to read your step count from the device sensor. This is the only permission tied to personal data.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) and foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_HEALTH) — to keep counting your steps while the app is in the background, shown via an ongoing notification. No data is transmitted.
Vibrate (VIBRATE) — optional haptic feedback on in-app actions.

The app deliberately does not request INTERNET or ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE.

Data sharing

None. The app shares no data with the developer or any third party, because it has no network access. If you use the optional in-app "share" feature, an image is created on your device and handed to your system share sheet — you choose where it goes; the app itself sends nothing.

Data retention and deletion

Your data lives only in the app's on-device storage. You can:

Back it up yourself via Settings → Data → Export, which writes a file you control (you choose where it goes through the system share sheet).
Delete everything by uninstalling the app, which removes all of its data. Nothing is retained anywhere else.

Children

Walk Track contains no ads, no purchases, no user-generated content and collects no data, and is suitable for all ages.
